Rig 2 - XTC 200 DTR^PLUS

During 2009, to prepare for new projects ideally suited to our COTD® drilling rigs, Xtreme Coil undertook modifications and customization on a fit-for-purpose deep re-entry drilling rig. The new model, the XTC 200DTR^PLUS, is based on a recently-issued Xtreme Coil patent. This rig design meets the requirements of re-entry projects in the Middle East and North Africa markets.  Two of these rigs are now dedicated to a long-term contract in Saudi Arabia (see News Release).

This rig’s design, based on a patent recently issued to Xtreme Coil, features:

• an alternating current (“AC”) injector with a capacity of up to 200,000 lbs.,
• the ability to handle and pressure-deploy, in one piece, a bottom hole assembly up to 120 feet long, and
• a built-for-purpose jack-up substructure to access the tall wellheads in regions like the Middle East and North Africa.
