Xtreme Coil develops and applies leading-edge patented and patent-pending technology and designs to
build,transport and operate new Coil Over Top Drive® (COTD™) drilling rigs. These innovative and efficient rigs, developed for operation in the United States, México, Canada and other international projects, drill with larger coil to reach hydrocarbons in deeper horizons. Xtreme Coil’s proprietary technology also features:
- modular
transportation units,
- larger injectors,
- larger drilling rigs,
- flexibility to drill with conventional jointed drill pipe when required, and
- new techniques for achieving deeper,
faster and safer drilling.
Xtreme Coil has designed 6 different Coil Over Top Drive® rig models to achieve different drilling depths as well as specific programs requiring “S” curve, directional and re-entry drilling..
At September 30, 2008, the United States Patent and Trademark office had issued four patents to Xtreme Coil. Xtreme Coil has more than 60 further patent applications pending in the United States, Canada and other jurisdictions. Our issued patents and patent applications cover our coiled tubing drilling and transportation technology including equipment and methods for coiled tubing drilling to deeper horizons of 3,000 meters (10,000 feet) or more.
At Septemer 30, 2008, 15 Coil Over Top Drive® rigs were operational. Of those:

10 Coil Over Top Drive® rigs are located in the United States.

5 rigs were in México.

1 rig was in transit to Mexico.

2 rigs were in various stages of construction and will be completed to fulfill future contracts

fleet of 18 Coil Over Top Drive® rigs comprises Phase 1 of rig construction.
We currently contract and operate Xtreme Coil’s COTD™ drilling rigs for exploration and production companies in the United States and México and continue to pursue opportunities in both our existing and new areas of operation.
